Today was pretty simple. We took our pre-test (formative grade) for the Osmosis and Diffusion Unit, and filled out the formative study guide that went with it. Overall, the scores were relatively high AFTER we were able to pull out our notes and make corrections. Please please please keep in mind that your likely grade on the actual test on 11/25 (Tuesday before Thanksgiving break) will be your FIRST score on the pre-test, NOT the second corrected score. I recommend 20-30 minutes a day of review for most tests, although this one might require less, since scores were higher than usual.
Otherwise, I collected any Science Fair Projects that were finished, as well as the Black Death CAR that was due today in social studies. My plan is to grade the CAR and any other work, and then send out missing work calls later tonight if I can get it all finished, as well as email out progress reports for any that weren't turned in on time today. (The calls for missing progress reports have already gone out.)
But first, I need to go rest for a bit. I did cancel study hall and detention for after school today, 'cause my fever is slightly up and I've been feeling...unpleasant, shall we say? So, I'm going to go cry myself to sleep for a bit, and then check back in later.
A final note: for those of you finishing up SciFair over the weekend, make sure you are asking any questions on SATURDAY. Leaving it till Sunday risks me not answering in time, since I will be running various errands and accomplishing various tasks rather than simply sitting in front of the computer for you. Give yourself some lead time to get everything done.
Wash those hands, stay healthy, folks!
