That said, today was a little exhausting, mainly because it involved a lot of me talking, which is always a little tiresome for everyone...In science, we reviewed the ideas from last week about basic genetics. We then took a short quiz (low stakes, not for a grade as much as for practice at remembering.) We are on the cusp, the very cusp! of discussing punnett squares, and then we will be getting into another wee simulation on genetics.
In social studies, we reviewed the best responses to the CARs for New England that were due last week, and then preveiwed some of the main ideas for our next text which is about the middle colonies. I handed those out as well as the associated SARs. More on that tomorrow. As of now, I plan on those SARs being due on Thursday.
The only other news was a reminder about the end of the first half of the quarter being Friday, that alternate written versions of the Mitosis test can be taken after school tomorrow, and that Mythbusters is coming to Joliet on April 15th.
Good night, and good luck.
