No, I don't. But it is appropriate to mention such medieval iconography. Today we turned in our Medieval Society CAR describing the three estates. But! This is only the beginning. While we are practicing our skills at reading nonfiction text and taking notes and summarizing, we are also trying to explain something fundamental to this year's studies: how the USA came to be. How exactly do we get from a Europe that was stratified, violent, authoritarian and hyper-christian to the relatively free democratic society we are today? The key is in the events collectively known as the Reformation, and to understand that, we need to look at how the Christian Church had developed up through the medieval period. Today, we started going through the next Text, asking questions and recording our answers and citations. The title of this is "From the Birth of Christianity to the Reformation." It is already up in the Social Studies section.
In science, we finished the trials for our Moving Motion experiments. That poster is due tomorrow in class, and will constitute a formative grade in preparation for our upcoming Science Fair projects.
And with that, bon nuit. I will check back to answer questions until around 9 pm.
