In my room, we will be taking the last two PARCC assessments in Math and ELA. I do want to emntion something, though. While I am not personally stimulated by watching everyone take these tests, I do have to say that the tests themselves seem to be of a high quality. There has been a lot of debate over the past few months in education and the media about whether the PARCC are "good" tests. The discussion over whether it is good or necessary to use standardized tests in this way is a separate issue, but I just wanted to mention that in the framework of whether the tests are assessing good or valuable skills, I would argue that at least superficially, they seem to be an improvement over the ISAT.
And now, to entertain myself, I want to respond to a question Fabian left in the comments last week: What would happen if our closest Galaxy (Andromeda) collided with our own, the Milky Way? Buuuut. It is late, and I have other work to do, so hopefully I can get to it tomorrow.
Ta!
