In science today, we compared the definitions that the students came up with based on the Prokaryote Chapter with my definitions...if they were similar, the students are to use their definitions to make a set of flashcards for the 15 terms, as well as any other terms they are having difficulty with. These are due tomorrow, along with their terms, definitions and illustrations. I have put two presentations on the website under Science>Biology: Cells>Prokaryotes, one for the official terms, and one for terms that are important as a foundation.
In Social Sciences, we made a triple-T chart comparing and contrasting the differences and similarities between agricultural and forager societies in terms of their use of: the environment, animals, plants, gender roles, the arts and technology. Then, we started a KWL chart about Native American Cultures, and then split into groups to read assigned chapters to learn and write CARs based on assigned questions. After presenting these answers, there will be a RAFT assigned.
