Seriously, the excellent points made can be summed up as follows: there will always be distractions and temptations that can lead you to abandon long term happiness for short term indulgences, be they chocolate, video games or talking with friends. The only one who ultimately can ensure your success or failure is yourself. The sooner you take responsibility, the happier you will be in general.
Although Mrs. White said it more poetically.
With that said, the loss of class time meant that we were only able to wrap up the class review of the first sample experiment, and then in social studies we took the remaining time to "finish" teaching the biomes to each other...
