In social studies, though, we got back to our last text in the unit. The major obstacle a few students have been facing is difficulty comprehending the text. Additionally, we need to start moving the focus of the QACs away from me reading and answering questions and onto you, as students. So the goal today was to start reading through the first page of the "Reformation" text and identifying confusing words and phrases. We practiced some of this as a class, and then broke into groups to finish it, where when we ran into difficult material you could talk to each other, getting some additional help from me as I moved around the room. Once we're done with that, we will start working through it as a QAC, again in groups in order to generate, ask and answer questions about the material.
Last chance for late Science Fair projects is this Monday. Get it done! Also, don't forget to prepare for Tuesday's Osmosis and Diffusion test.
