In social studies, we watched a short clip from The New World, and discussed some of the things we saw...old modes of punishment, how nobles regarded and treated commoners, the different fighting styles and weapons technologies of Europe and the Americas, and finally, whether the movies depiction of John Smith encountering Pocahontas was accurate or not. Tomorrow, we'll have some study time for the test on Article 2, so bring your study guides with you.
In science, I handed back the personal definitions for the Eukaryotes chapter. We were to compare the definitions that I had marked as sub-par, and compare and combine them with the versions I put together, and then use them to create flashcards for the terms that we can use to study for the upcoming test. These flashcards are due tomorrow.
Finally, I started the new policy of sending out automatic phone calls for any missing assignments. It appears that all but 2 went through with no trouble. I'll double check the phone numbers for those last two, and try again later tonight.
Enjoy the evening!
