In social studies, we had work time to prepare for tomorrow's summative. Please review yesterday's post for more info. Walk in prepared!
In science, we discussed humidity, electricity, and weather. The associated questions for Does Land Like Lightning are NOT supposed to be in CARs format, and are not required. If they are turned in by Friday, I will grade them and use the grade as a replacement for any other lower formative grade in science.

Check the link in yesterday's post to the original post from a month ago. The prompt and the rubric are there.

The third question in "The War Ends" about terrorist vs patriot in the text it is hard to find where to cite it from because I read the whole thing and couldn't find anywhere to cite from. Thanks!

It is partially based on the class discussion...when you hear terrorists, think asymmetric warfare, like guerrilla warfare. (1st page, second half.) Look at how the colonists fought in the south, which could be analogous to "terrorism."

I copied them over before I left today. That said, if they didn't load properly, I can't fix it from home, since I don't have access to the school drive from here. If it needs to be done again, we can try in the morning or at lunch, and you can verify that the right one loaded...

Hello Mr. Stevenson. On behave of Kweli, I do give him permission to attend the Brookfield Zoo trip. I thought I sighed the permission slip a while ago but I guess not. Thanks in advance.

Thanks! He'll still need to get it signed, and bring in the cash, but this will do for tonight. (The other slip was for a different trip. It is the end of the year. We have billions of field trips planned, it seems.)
